01 Mar Salad Ways Stock Paste now available
We have just released our Salad Ways Stock Paste, which is made using only our chemical free vegetables and herbs, rock salt and olive oil.
A great base for soups, stews and sauces. 1 tablespoon – 500ml boiled water in place of stock powder or cubes.
Ingredients: celery, carrot, onion, parsnip, zucchini, garlic, bay leaf, basil, sage, rosemary, parsley, rock salt, olive oil.
If you prefer to make your own we have provided the recipe:
Recipe: 200g celery, 2 carrots, 1 onion, 1 parsnip, 1 zucchini, 2 cloves garlic, 1 bay leaf, 2 sprigs basil, 2 sprigs sage, 2 sprigs rosemary, 8 sprigs parsley, 150g rock salt, 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Chop all the vegetables and herbs then blend in a food processor until very finely chopped. Add the rock salt and olive oil and cook gently until the vegetables are soft. Allow to cool and blend to a smooth paste.
